Westend-Factory in Munich

We discovered the Westend Factory by chance and will definitely be back! The food was great, very well prepared and the taste was simply wonderful. Good service and price-performance ratio!

Very good restaurant. Staff was very friendly and the prices are ok. It's a shame that there was only one craft beer on offer. I had hoped for more after the selection at the entrance.

Nice little popup inside of the Sheraton hotel with a small and changing menu. Food was a decent size, tasty and well presented. Service was quite good, even though the did not have the correct utensils to eat fish with. Good wine menu even with a few items missing or unavailable.

A really nice restaurant. Quality food, very kind and professional service. Definetely a place to come back to ?

We were there for the New Year's Eve menu last night. It was super tasty as always, the service is totally accommodating, just recommended! Regional, high-quality food excellently prepared. Five stars from me and I am very demanding.

The Westend Factory is the restaurant of the Sheraton Hotel in the Westend. We went there for the first time today. The ambience of the restaurant is based on an old factory hall. The waiter was very friendly and showed us to the reserved table. The menu was very straightforward, there was no selection of side dishes, but only a fixed daily side dish. We ordered a chestnut soup, a roast beef and a fillet steak. As a greeting from the kitchen there is homemade walnut bread and a cream cheese dip with bacon. Both tasted very good. The chestnut soup was impeccable. The medium fillet steak was cooked just right, the medium rump steak was a little too well done. Both pieces of meat were excellent in taste and consistency. As a side dish of the day there was potato gratin and green bacon beans, both of which were also excellent in taste and appearance. The side dishes were originally served in old enamel pots. Nevertheless, there was a small drop of bitterness, because one or the other waiter had smelled very unpleasant of old sweat. The Westend Factory positions itself as a steak restaurant, but the range of food on offer is unfortunately too poor for that. All in all, a successful meal, but the Westend Factory is still not included in our favorites list.

Wanted to try the lunch menu here. Menu is rather over the top, as there is only one course, soup costs extra. Quality is fine - but just overpriced for the average man. + Water is free.

Stylishly decorated restaurant with a sophisticated menu. If you like steak or fish should definitely come over times. The service was very professional and friendly!

For a restaurant attatched to a hotel this was pretty good! I had fresh whole trout, which was awesome. Came with lots of extras. Recommended!

This restaurant is quite lovely and beautiful inside. I loved how the decor made you feel. Elegant and comfortable. The food was excellent. The house-made bread with dill sour cream is something I'll think about for quite some time. We got steaks and whole fish. The entrees come with salad and sides that you can have refilled if you'd like. The wine list is lovely. They also make mean cocktails. The service was excellent.

Extremly good!! Appetizers, desserts and especially the steaks are just awesome. Rarely eaten so well. The ambience and the really hard-working staff make a visit to the Westend Factory a real experience! A must for Munich visitors and for all Munich! The New Year's Eve menu was a dream! The Tomahawk Steak Dry Aged was awesome, Filet super, Dry Aged Rib Eye ok - Service top - side dishes great - ambience good. All in all, some air up but in total 2+.

My family and I had just landed in Munich, after a 5hour delay, and a 40 minute ride from the airport, we were very hungry for some dinner especially since it was getting late. Understandably, we were exhausted and not in the mood of exploring, and chose to go to Westend since it was in the hotel and they claimed to be “Steak and Fish” restaurant. We don’t eat steak, so we thought we’ll just have the fish. When we enter, we were seated quickly, however, no one came to our table for at least 20 mins since we entered which is not ok. Then, after another 10 min, the waiter asked if we wanted water. After another 10 min, he brings the water, and serves it, and after, states they do not have any fish. How can a “fish” restaurant not have fish?!?! We had to leave and go to a take out place across the street since all other restaurants were closed. They also still charged 8€ for a water bottle after this mess. Not recommended to anyone who doesn’t have time to deal with their nonsense.

We were eating here on a holiday. And I would like to have given 5 points. Nice staff, the food (meat and side dishes) tasted very good, nice decor, good wine. But point deduction for: The meat was unfortunately directly cold. As if it was made directly from the fridge directly hot and then cooled from the inside on. In addition (and even if the staff attentive and hard-working) we would in 20 minutes directly from 4 different operations addressed and served. Would have liked a "more personal" care and high quality qualified and dressed staff. Too bad. For me between 3 and 4 points. Since it tasted very good (except for the cold), I give 4.

We went there on a Saturday night. The place was surprisingly half empty, which isn't necessarily a bad thing because it was very quiet and cozy. We (2 people) shared an interesting appetizer with goat cheese and a large dry aged rib-eye steak. Both were of very high quality. We also had some good Austrian red wine. The service was careful and the waiter took great care on explaining the dishes on the menu and the history behind their meat. Complimentary vegetables and onion bread were delicious. The only negative note is the price, but I would say is still within the range of steakhouses in Munich. Highly recommended!

Kind and professional staff. Excellent food. Beautiful setting. Last but not least: finally a restaurant with no music in the background, and we really didn't miss it.

Very good meat, plenty of side dishes that can be reordered at no extra charge and very friendly service.

On group tour. Nice range of food provided for breakfast. Fresh fruit to go. Coffee machine for a range of drinks.

Insider tip! There are different starters and different types of meat and fish as the main course. Great concept - you can share meals! There are daily supplements for meat / fish, e.g. Potato gratin, salad. Nice service, great facility, good value for money. We were pleasantly surprised and would love to come back!

Great steak tartar and aged ribeye. Prices are reasonable for the food served and the service is good.

Very nice waitresses. The meat and the side dishes tasted very good. The jus was really great. I personally liked the interior of the location very much. The prices are high, but quite reasonable. The wine I ordered (Italian cuvee) also met my taste. In my opinion, a great steak house that can be highly recommended.

After trying many steakhouse restaurants in Munich... this is clearly the best

The food and the choice of dishes, also suitable for vegetarians sowie, as well as the concept of food sharing is great. You choose e.g. The main course and everything is served on a board, except fish and the vegetarian dish, that comes extra. Yes, there is also a vegetarian main course in the "Steak House". ?? The last star is when the dishes are served with hot plates. Unfortunately everything was pretty cold after a short time ?

I really love the idea of restaurants having a short menu in the restaurant. Firstly you choose the dish way quicker and secondly you can almost always be sure that the dishes are made fresh. And that is exactly what we got. Delicious and tender meat, fresh fish, perfectly cooked veggies and tasty salad. It was so much that we did not manage to eat everything. We could have gave up on the starters and I am sure there would be still much food left. Plus the ambience and staff there is just great. We spent a great wedding anniversary evening there. I highly recommend this place!

A nicely old style decoration with different size and types of tables with a good choice for breakfast, including honey taken directly from the mold

Great location! is a bit crazy when you come from the "classic" hotel area in the factory. A really nice designed restaurant. We had a delicious 4-course menu. It tasted like home-made, just a little better :) Very friendly and open staff. In my opinion, in any case recommended!

The host did a really good job in explaining the philosophy behind the menu. As entree we had smoked eel with apple (nice flavor combination; tasting it is believing it) and also a salmon on a bed of fresh salad. We had a very nice trout as main dish, with a salad. Nice wine to go with this. As desert we had two tasty local cheeze's. All-in-all: A Very Nice Surprise (and it's closer to a 4+ stars)
